Chamoli, Uttarakhand: At least seven workers have died and 14 others were injured after a sudden surge of water and debris entered a tunnel in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district, trapping workers inside, according to reports.
A total of 22 workers were trapped inside the tunnel following the incident. Rescue teams managed to bring 20 workers out of the tunnel, while two workers were initially reported to be unaccounted for.
